The TRUE reason why America COULD NOT win in Viet Nam !!!

From TRAN VIET SANG, on Wed, 29 May 1996 20:09:32 GMT (in response to: why we lost the Viet Nam war.)

The true reason that America could not win the war in Vietnam does not really have anything to do with who was supplying weapons to the Viet Cong and it was not because of the ununited America at the time. To put it simply, it was a civil war where the people fought for what they believed right. Many were fighting for religion as they wanted Buddhists to run the country as they always had. Many fought because it was the thing to do along with their neighbors. It could largely be compared to the American civil war in that many peole took part \ in both wars not really knowing why but devotedly following their leaders. There are many factors to why America lost in Vietnam including Chinese weapons and brilliant millitary tactics that were perfected by General Giap and the Viet Cong, but if you want to know the TRUE reason America could never have won in Vietnam it is simply that they would have had to kill every Vietnamese to do it. The Vietnamese were fighting for freedom, regardless of what they recieved at the end of the war, they were only fighting for a FREE Vietnam!!! And that alone is why America COULD NOT have won!
