Deirdre Yates, M.F.A.

Courses

Classically trained at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts and The Catholic University of America, Deirdre Yates brings a wealth of professional experience to Seton Hall's Theatre-in-the-Round. Ms. Yates toured the country performing Shakespeare and has appeared at regional theatres from Seattle Wash. to Wash. D.C.  In N.Y.C. she has appeared at the Samuel Beckett Theatre and is a member of the Yates Musical Theatre for Children. Here at Seton Hall, Professor Yates serves as the advisor to the Theatre Council, coordinates Lunch-Time Theatre, the Cabaret Cafe series and has appeared with the Celtic Theatre Company .  She is one of three directors for the Theatre-in-the-Round and teaches a variety of performance/skill courses. Deirdre is extremely proud of her sister, Moira Rose Donohue, who has just published her first book, Alfie the Apostrophe , with Albert Whitman.
