About Intro to Robotics
This is a new Introductory Robotics course which emphasizes team work and expects teams to accomplish a number of well-defined way points or challenges.
For the first part of the course, teams of two students will receive a Lego Mindstorms robotics kit. In the second part teams teams will have access to a high-performance CoRobot robotic vehicle with a four-degree-of-freedom arm and build-in camera for autonomous as well as teleoperated operation.
We expect students completing this course to develop a deeper understanding of and appreciation for mathematical and scientific theory as well as to increase their skills and interest in computer science. A video documentation will accompany the course.
The course is a 1 credit course and runs in the:
