I am a 28 year old with no family members that are veterans of the Vietnam War, but I have taken it upon myself to research the war. From the battle at Ia Drang valley 1968 to the evacuation of Saigon in 1975, these men fought and died for a cause our government brainwashed them into believing. If you have not researched the hell, terror, torture, and madness they went through, you should have no comment. I encourage anyone to read the book "We Were Soldiers Once, and Young" written by Ret. Col Hal Moore and Joseph Galloway. It is impossible for me to comprehend the death and gut wrenching nightmares these men lived at ages as early as 17 years old. The war is over, but should never be forgotten. Rent a documentary video on the war, read a book, talk to a homeless vet selling newspapers in your city, something to educate yourself and realize these men were trying to stay alive and maintain some sort of touch with reality.
