Duty at Phan Rang Air Base

From Jerry Linton, on Sat, 13 Feb 1999 04:56:37 GMT (in response to: please respond direct!)

I arrived at Phan Rang in Dec of 65 when there was only about 75 Air Force guys. I was assigned to the Civil Eng Sq and the next year was just a whirlwind of construction. There was only a 1500PSP runway when I arrived and when I left there was a 10,000ft runway with F-4's and for awhile not a lot of bombs for them to drop. Thank you Mr. McNamara. I would love to hear from guys stationed there.
