Sister teaching in Viet Nam

Thank you for your response. My sister has been there now for a year and a half - so she speaks Vietnamese well enough to explain her address to me. She loves it there. Like all autocratic regimes, it still has silly rules and repression to some degree. She rarely encounters it. However, when her son visited, he was followed by the local police everywhere they went. Everyone treated the cop as an acquaintance and he often dined and drank with them when they dined out.

It is still difficult but not impossible to e-mail her. She also has access to a fax machine.
