No to Ho

Ho Chi Minh only quoted the famous U.S. and French documents to appease France and to persuade the U.S. to support them. In actuality, the North Vietnamese government under Ho Chi Minh was extremely corrupt and repressive. In fact, over 25 former Vietnamese Communist officials today are either imprisoned or under house arrest because they had exposed the blatant corruption and unjust war tactics of the National Liberation Front(NLF) and the NVA. Furthermore, the rural poor only supported the Viet Cong because they were forced to. When you have a gun stuck to the side of your head and when you are threatened with death and torture by the Viet Cong, you obviously have to join them. This just shows the real oppression suffered by the rural poor at the bloody hands of Ho Chi Minh!
