Another Logical Flaw

Please do not call me an imperialist. I am anti-French, I support Vietnam's true freedom and independence. Regarding today's Vietnam, yes, the Viet Cong did win. But did the people win? NO!!!!! First, most property today is not owned by the poor, but rather by the VCP. Second, there are no freedoms of speech, of the press, or religion. Now one may argue that Buddhists would enjoy greater freedom because they had supported the VC. In fact, many Buddhists opposed the VC and even fought for the Saigon Government. Many Buddhist sects such as Hoa Hao are persecuted by a dictatorship who you claim espouses those things which Americans want to have-freedom, liberty, independence, a good quality of life, and justice. I urge you to take a closer look at the unjust war tactics(e.g. harassment of the rural poor, cruel and unusual punishment of opposing soldiers, lack of rule of law or respect for the Vietnamese people) of the NVA/VC and the state of the country today(there's your evidence, sir). Please do not blindly accept your opinions-you need to question them, too. Otherwise, you yourself are not free.
