Montagnards

bracelets?

I've been doing some research about Montagnards on the internet, and I keep coming across references to these bracelets. However, none of them explain the bracelets in detail. I would love to learn more about them--what was their significance to the Montagnards and to the Americans who received them? What did they look like? When were they given? If you can help me with any of these questions or have any other comments about them, please feel free to email me or to post them here. Thanks so much!
