The Montagnards or as we called them YARDS carried their most valued possion on thier wrist in the form of a silver or brass bracelet if you helped or befriended a yard they would offer you a bracelet as afriendly gesture The bracelets were carved with tribal markings most of the road crew of the 815th eng had one or two and wore them as a honor
