Example 8.2.2 (c): Pointwise vs Uniform Convergence

The sequence fn(x) = max(n - n2 |x - 1/n|, 0) with domain D = [0, 1] converges pointwise to zero. Does it also converges uniformly?

This sequence converges pointwise to zero, but does not converge uniformly. The details are left as an exercise.
