•    Audiotaping is optional. IF  you want a record of your presentation, bring your personal recording device. It should be cued so that  it does not erase any previous tapings/practice sessions.

•     If you need other types of Audio-Visual aids other than the LCD computer projector or a VCR/TV/DVD (e.g. if you need an overhead projector, an opaque projector, extra speakers or similar materials) you will need to ask your professor to reserve those through the Media Center (X9554) at least 48 hours prior to your presentation day. AS WE HAVE DONE ALL SEMESTER, ANY SLIDE SHOWS / VIDEOS/ etc BEING USED  SHOULD BE EMAILED TO YOUR PROFESSOR NO LATER THAN 12:15 ON YOUR DAY OF PRESENTATION.

• N.B. IF TIME - The Persuasive Presentation uses a "Panel of (Expert) Evaluators" procedure -- this time each designated evaluator is assigned to comment on all or several  of that day’s speakers  but only in reference to one particular, performance/skill area. This time evaluators will receive an evaluation sheet to use & , if time,  will have an opportunity to summarize their comments orally as part of a post mortem discussion at the completion of that day's presentations.

ADDITIONAL REMINDERS:

 **EXCEPT FOR THE SPEAKERS SCHEDULED FOR 12/2/19,   the hardcopy of your three(3)-part outline packet [ (1) the extemp. outline + (2) the bibliography + (3) the explanatory, "page 2" strategy paragraph ] is due ONE CLASS SESSION BEFORE your scheduled presentation day.
 

• Review the basic guidelines that were in effect for the previous speeches this semester.

• You are encouraged to bring guests to class on these Presentation Days.

• As always, be sure your presentation  (including any "presentation aids") falls within the time limits. Use your time to develop  your persuasive proposition, not for loading in more points.  Also, please be aware that your grade will be affected if you are appreciably less than 6 min. or more than 8 min.

• No hats, of course
