I think that during the whole Vietnam War that Americans were too focused on why the americans were there, and how we shouldn't be there, ect. But have I rarely heard something about the Vietnamese people who had no clue what was going on. In my english class, three of us are reading the book Fallen Angels. We just read a section about how the soldiers went in to a village and did good things for the village folk, like pass out food, and things of that nature. You have to remember that these people were probably illiterate, and they didn;t have any idea what the heck was going on. So next time you say that we shouldn't have been there, blah, blah, blah, remember the Vietnamese.
