From Gary Garrison, on Sun, 17 Jan 1999 09:30:06 GMT (in response to: Phan Rang Air Base)

Glad to see a Phan Rang alumni,no matter what branch of service we were in. I was in the 366th air police sq. Got there in april 66,the place was baren,if we wanted a place to sleep in we had to pitch a tent.lived in that for 2months then we built a hootch, that was great after being in that tent. I was in panther flight, our shift was from 8pm until 7am.We were all over the perimiter of the base,on out post, fence line,at the ends of the runway, the bomb dump, most of the time you were on post alone.we had alot of harassment fire from v.c. thinking of it now glad i was young, glad it is over.
