Protest

Presidents and Clemency for Draft Resisters

From Joe N., on Sun, 23 Apr 2000 21:20:18 GMT (in response to: What year and by what president was clemency granted DDogers?)

Ford gave limited amnesty shortly after Noxious Nixon resigned. President Carter extended that.

The years: Ford, 1974. Carter: 1976.

I have no further detail than that, except that I met an old friend from high school who had come back from Canada (he credited me for having persuaded him while in high school) in 1973. At that time, for obvious reasons, he kept a very low profile.

I would suspect the same is true today: low profile. Thus it would be difficult to find them, unless one has an initial contact to one or more who knew others.
