Protest

Hypocrites

From john, on Wed, 20 Nov 1996 14:26:13 GMT (in response to: Agreement)

In reading your comment called "Agreement", one word comes to mine, hypocrites. Many protesters went out and protested the war but, they also protested those who had no choice but to fight the war. Many of these draftees didn't have the deep pockets to get them out of the draft or, to sustain them when they took flight to canada. Many were average, poor, middle class young men and women who did what their country asked of them. I was too young to be in the war or, as the politicians call it: "A police action". I did serve in the US Army and had the honor of speaking to many Vietnam Veterans.

Let us not forget the ultimate protester "Hanoi Jane" sitting on that anti aircraft gun, pointing it toward the sky, wearing a a North Vietnamese helmet, smiling, taking pictures, telling the American soldier to put down their weaponds and to refuse a command to figh and calling the American soldier who did fight a murderer (hypocrite).

In your little comment your tells us how you would protest for the safety of our troops. Yet, when they did return what they receiced at the airport were more protesters spitting at them and calling them baby killer. Hypocrites.
