Dallas, it's my view that our armed forces should only be used for national security. That means, our national security. We are completely justified in taking steps to make sure that something like 9-11 doesn't happen again. Whether it be nation building in Afghanistan or invading Iraq, it is all to protect ourselves, as a nation. However, Vietnam, and, for that matter, Korea was a waste of lives and rescources that was not a threat to the US. The Soviet Union eventually collapsed under it's own weight, and our involvement to stop Communism in those countries made no real difference. What do you think?
