From Bob Sloan, on Mon, 24 May 1999 08:58:42 GMT (in response to: Help please!- does anyone know where I can find a copy of the famous photograph of the girl covered in napalm?)
Napalm had one and only one purpose, to burn and remove O2 from the air. If it burnt you then that was it, you were to close, end of life, end of story. If you were caught in rocks, tunnels and not burnt then chances were that your lungs were burnt out and you sufficated due to lack of O2. Anyone who was close enough to get napalm on them from an aircraft drop would not suvive - full stop. They may get burnt from the hut, they may get burnt from grass or any other material, but no one could get raw naplam on their person from an air drop, have the WP canister go off from the fuse and live. IT just ain't so.
