Remember the Bulldog, Giles, bite and don't let off.
For all of the Americans out there : I know Giles very well, we served together in the "2eme Regiment Etranger de Parachutistes" of the Foreign Legion on Corsica.During the Tchaad-campaign he saved my live twice while parachuting behind enemy lines. It is from his time in the French Foreign Legion that he got the name Giles, which is French as you might know.
When Giles is talking about war, he knows what he is talking about. Unlike some other people who are using names like "USAF-veteran" or "Special forces veteran", Giles does not talk about his heroic past. This is what makes out a real heroe, he doesn't talk about actions, he acts !!!!
Just to make things clear, I'm not a British citizen, nor an American (thanks God, for that), I'm just a litlle Belgian guy (For the Americans, it's a litlle country somewhere in Europe, between France and Germany).I had the honour to serve in the 2e REP under Giles command, he was a sergeant there. As already mentioned, he saved my life twice in Tchaad. Thanks for that again Giles.
Believe me, you pseudo-veterans on this chatboard, when Giles is talking about war, he knows what he is talking about. He saw more action in one year than all of you "wannabe heroes" in your whole life.
Giles is british by the blood given to him by his ancestors, but Giles is also French, this by the blood he has given for France.
If Giles is talking against the war, then it is because he knows the athrocities of war. You better listen to him, because I do.
He Giles, the following is just for your eyes, therefore I will write it in the language of our beloved France.
Your best friend ever,
Mabbe
