She is American living in VN. She has helped many Amerasians - Immigrate to US, teach trades to get work and so forth. Many Amerasians have immigrated, but many are still in VN. I have seen many myself in early 2000 just outside Ho Chi Minh City (formally Siagon). We visited and took gifts to "their" children. We took 200 gifts of food, clothes and small cash. 200 was not nearly enough. Even their children have strong American characteristics. Lite hair, eye color, complexion, Afro American features, freckles. It was a real eye opener for me. There is also a group called "Give a Child A Hand" I believe they started in New York, but they have a group in VietNam who have an office at the Amara Hotel in Ho Chi Minh City. They are the group that took me to see these very poor families.
