plane crash at Phan Rang

From Tim Casey, on Tue, 04 Mar 2003 02:23:05 GMT (in response to: anyone remember donald dunn, crashed feb 11, 71 on final flight , 310th tactical)

i saw a C-123 crash when I was on Phan Rang one morning. The plane was doing its fini fly by, of all things the pilot tried to do a roll at low altitude, and went down upside down. Several good men died in this crash. I saw it go down from the Supply compound about a mile away. Very sad to see that. It was the only crash I saw there from may70 to may71.I hope this helps you in your quest,I have been looking for information on my dad in wwii for 35 years and havent had alot of luck either. I think I have a picture of the fire from a long distance.
