Devils of Vietnam

I cannot believe that you are so quick to call Kissinger and Nixon devils of Vietnam without mentioning Kennedy and Johnson. And let's not forget the French who began "democratization" of the Vietnamese.

Keep in mind that the Nixon/Ford administration got Americans OUT of Vietnam while Kennedy and Johnson poured an ever-increasing number of soldiers IN to Vietnam.

Also lets not forget the Communists of Russia and China who, lets face it, started the whole thing. Their imperialism entered Vietnam long before the US. The Truman doctrine was carried out to prevent the spread of Communism, and that's why we went there. It was a miserable failure because Congress insisted on fighting the war from DC.

Let's not blame Nixon on mistakes made a decade earlier. And for GOD'S sake, let's not blame the proud soldier who was sent there without a clear mission, without clear goals, and without the tools needed to win the war.
