Protest

"Combat stories that are not true and the welcome home.

From Henry Sullivan, on Fri, 11 Jan 2002 08:46:56 GMT (in response to: No one ever spit on me.)

This drafted vietnam veteran was a medevac medic. If Miss VA story reader is tired, then quit. I once took a motor pool GI with me on a Dustoff run to help as the situation sounded hairly when dispatched to lift off and he happened to be close. He had no combat MOS,but just the same, had a real bad day.

I was grateful to get home. I will never feel as useful again in my life and that's alright. My father spent 44 months in the pacific and broke at age 48. I was 13 years old and supported the family for the most part.

My point is this,be careful what you say about veterans. You really do not know what they did in a war zone. You would not have a country without veterans. Do not minimize that cook's role in a war, it took 9 men in the rear to put one in combat .hws
