Protest

Vietnam lost in the debate

From pissant, on Sat, 11 Apr 1998 07:43:48 GMT (in response to: ignorance)

As most know now, the Vietnam War is called "The American War" in Vietnam...The Vietnamse and their suffering is almost always left out of the discussion of the war. Their country is one big dumping ground of pollutants, such as Agent Orange. A fact most Americans don't know, any American veteran who served in Vietnam or off the waters in Vietnam, will receive money for the rest of their life if they come down with prostate, and lung cancer and about 8 other assorted diseases. If they die from one of these conditions, there wife receives monthly payments of at least $800.00. This is because they have found a link between agent orange and these diseases. Now imagine what the health must be like for the citizens of VN who were bombarded year after year with this poison? Thanks for bringing up a very important part of the VN story, Pam.
