The photographs are tremendous and very emotional. I wish they were annotated; it would be interesting to know when and where they were taken. I was stationed in the central highlands for all of my tour of duty (4th Inf. Div., 1967-8). I was an advisor to the South Vietnamese Regional Forces in Lam Dong province in II Corps. I lived and fought with the Koho tribal people during my stay. I am currently preparing materials for a grammar and dictionary of the Koho language. I have been back to Viet Nam twice (in 1991 and 1992); I was very lucky to visit Lam Dong province where I was stationed and see some of the area where I lived and learned. Things are very different now; I want to return for a longer stay. The country is still incredibly beautiful.
