IF YOUR PEOPLE FOUGHT AS HARD AS WE, you may still have a country. Think of how many American lives were lost. FOR WHAT? You feel sorry for yourself while the rest of the world goes on. You don't know how good you really have it. You never experienced WAR. You only heard about it through conversation. Yeah, I know you feel sorry for yourself. How do you think we feel? I am also an Asian-American. I served in Vietnam with an all volunteer unit because I thought I was helping your people obtain freedom. Now you have every opportunity you can ever imagine or dream. All you need to do is work towards your goals; that is, if you have any. Freedom isn't free, never was and certainly, neither are your dreams. You should quit that "POOR ME" routine and seek out the opportunities we have provided for you and your family and ultimately gave our lives for. How many people can actually say that thousands of 18 and 19 year old soldiers gave their lives for them so they could experience freedom? My family was placed into American concentration camps during WWII. Look around and see how many of them crawled into a corner and said: Poor Me! They got off their asses and began to work and prove themselves to be worthy citizens of the United States. This was also the way I was brought up as a child. Help the less fortunate, my parents would say. So I went into the U.S. Army, volunteered for the best training I could possibly get. Then I went to fight your war; for your right to freedom. You should never forget.... PEOPLE DIED FOR YOU AND YOUR FAMILY. GO TO THE VIETNAM MEMORIAL WALL AND SEE HOW LONG IT TAKES YOU TO COUNT THE NAMES OF THOSE YOUNG MEN THAT NEVER GOT A CHANCE TO SEEK OUT THE FULL OPPORTUNITY THAT FREEDOM OFFERS...... Poor you!
