Ask your people

From Bob Holt, on Sun, 01 Aug 1999 19:22:16 GMT (in response to: NO one really knows.)

Maybe you should ask your own people, the Hmong, who also fought and died why they did that? No one forced them and from what I was told by soldiers who fought with them, they were very good. As soon as they did that, they were marked if the North ever won the war. To abandon brave people of all sorts in Vietnam was unforgivable. But remember this, the men who were there did not abandon your people. They fought and died so that you could have a homeland free from tyranny. You should realize that we were betrayed too. At the very least, and it's no comfort, the US gov. did offer some a place to go so you would not have to live(or die) with reprisals.
