I am sorry I offended you, but you seem to have read alittle too much into what I said. 
I did not mean to express pity, although, indeed, after the way USA treated Viet Nam, 
I dont doubt that there are a few who deserve and would gladly except my pity.  I found 
the pictures hearthbreakingly sad, because these children are for the Americans "the 
living reminders of all the good we failed to do" (Miss Saigon), and also beautiful 
because of the resilency of those children, who, as you said, have grown up 
strenghtened and proud of their country.
