Hello Diane Kelly et all,
My wife Dot and myself had adopted a 2yr old girl who was orphaned in Korea named Allyson. She suffered from malnutrition but survived brcause of the Harry Holt Agency.
When babylift hapened we called The Foundling Hospital-our apdopotion agency in NYC since we wanted a boy
and were approved for foreign adoption. We were promised a baby but some took the baby in San Francisco.
Brokenhearted we called every agency in the book and found our Eric(Nyugen An Tuan) at the Pearl s Buck Agency.
We asked for a handicaaped chils like our daughter Ally that could be corrected. The social worker said she
was praying earnestly what to do with Eric who was blind but could have vision restored. When we called she was so
happy for him.God knows. He was on the last plane out of Saigon with no seats. They fired missiles at the plane but
God protected it and it landed safely in the Phillipenes. The rest is history.Eric is a graduate of SUNY Albany and
preparing for Law school. The Catholic relief agency and Buddist nuns took care of my son in Vietnam when he was
orphaned at birth in the Mecong Delta.
