Children

Some Thoughts (2nd version)

Dear Ms. Dinh Thi Phuc,
After reading your letter about the children of Vietnam,
I would like to share some personal thoughts about Viet Cong
and Republican of Vietnam.
I strongly believe that Viet Cong are liars. If you said
you are the children of the wars, don't you remember which
side of Vietnam wanted to take over the country ? I'm talking
between the nations. Americans were only tried to help the
Republican to save the nation from turbulants and sufferings
from Viet Cong! However, Viet Cong didn't keep their promises
to withdraw their armies. Yet, they took advantages over
their own people. They abused them and starved them to death.
My parents were also the victims of the war too. My father
wasn't in the army but Viet Cong still captured him and they
put him in concentration camp for five years! During that time,
my mom was the primary supporter of my family. She had to work
very hard to keep us alive. Besides, my parents wanted for our
family to have the freedom and independence too. However, we
didn't join Viet Cong side to fight against our own people.
Ms.Dinh, you don't realize that your statement is false and
unrealistic! If you and your family strongly believed that
Viet Cong is the key to your freedom, then why are you in
America? The only people who truely came to America were the
ones who suffered from Viet Cong's years of abuse and tortures!
They are the people who really want to find freedom for
themselves and their family members. It is the people who ran
away from Vietnam knew the truth about Viet Cong. Many people
lost their lives in the ocean by escaping on boats. Don't give
out false informations to kids who know nothing about the war.
It makes me sick just by reading your letter about Viet Cong
giving freedom to their people! If they kept their promise,
then many people would never died and suffered from their
mental and physical abused! Once again, I want to mention that
if you and your family believe in Viet Cong, then why are you
here in America? You make me and many million of readers feel
disgusted by your letter. The fact that the 14 year old kid
comment on Vietnam is true. Her father had been there to witness
the truth about Vietnam. He said to never believe anyone in
Vietnam including children because Viet Cong are liars. They
used children as a weapon to attack many soldiers. This type
of work is dirty and low life. I hope in your next letter to
the little child will be better. It is sad to see a kid learn
something about our country in a false way. Tell her something
that is educational and meaningful, not something that doesn't
exist!
