fighting communism

The US fought with good reason in Vietnam. We fought Communism. Communism is an evil. It is not simply an alternative form of government such as socialism. Communists use mind control to crush individuality,and to transform people into robots serving the government.Communism has killed more people than any other ideology,according to a recently published book in France. (80 to 100 million people died in starvations in Russia, purges,political punishments) 30 million Chinese died in the cultural revolution. Communism is an evil that I am proud that I fought. The vietnam war was badly mismanaged by the US government. They did not think that China would back North Vietam as heavily as they did .

The american people decided that someone else's freedom, that of the South Vietnamize , was not worth the cost. The american people cannot admit defeat in anything, so they treated the vietnam veterans as failures.

I am proud of my effort, but have suffered for many years. We fought with good reason, with courage, but we were let down by an incompetent government.

The American people must share in the incompetetence of their government. The struggle against communism was seldom mentioned by anti-war people.
