I read a few of your other comments. You offer a significant amount of advice to the Lance Corporal! now, Chief, with all due respect, what is your AFSC? I'm willing to bet you have two Associate Degrees, a BA, and probably an MA as well, but I'm also convinced you aren't a maintenance Chief or a flyer...HHUUMMM?? "Take soem classes"...nice effort, Chief, but LCPLs spend a lot of time on shift work, in the field, or deployed (unlike our 9 to 5 aimen in the comfort of our service.) I fully agree that everyone should get an education (I,too, have an MBA, but it took me three years after retirement to finally get it.) I really would like to know if you were active in the RVN war. Now, I was 18 when I was wounded in Dec 65...I assume you are a bit younger? In any case, I mean no disrespect, but "the war" wasn't anything like I believe you envision it...at least not from where I squatted (no toilets, remember?) Give thise who recall a bitter, losing prospect their due...we saw the thing from the ground...the dirt, sweat, bugs, etc., but we did what we were tld to do. I doubt we would have such closeness and dependence upon each other today.
