Nice photo work and all, but clearly a "rear echelon" glimpse of the "war" I spent 22 months living with only a poncho (2ndBn/7th Marines) and don't find anything like our environment pictured here. Ever eat "C"s for 11 months straight, never see a town, BX/PX, cot, shower, etc/.? No fellows...nice try at nostalgia and rememberence, but this isn't the war the grunts knew. Try "operations: harvest Moon, Hot Springs, Utah, Texas, Indiana, Big Springs, Starlight, Nevada, etc." The war wasn't all the BX, a "hootch", and mail every day. See if you hear that echo someplace.
