My unit was moved up from the Central Highlands to run convoy escorts (MP V100 Armored Cars). We borrowed V100s from various units to run the convoys; this way no one unit was minus too many armored cars. We lost a few of them to ambushes, as Charles went for the escorts first. Gun jeeps were useless. After the operation ceased we went back to our home units. Too bad the S2 people didn't think it was tank territory--those NVA tanks sure surprised those ARVN paratroops, but they did pretty good against them.
