I don't know if anyone can help me, or if anyone will want to help me. I am a 22 year old reservist, so to me the war is only real in the stories I read. I am obviously too young to have first hand knowledge of anything about the war (I was born 6 months before the fall of Saigon. I became interested in the military at a young age, and in Vietnam not long after that. It has almost turned into a quest for me to learn all I can about the soldiers' experiences during the war. I have read of humping all day, and night, and then sitting around waiting for the next order to come down (which was usually more humping). I have read of the pain of losing a friend, and the fear that came with the setting of the sun. But, I have questions. Many questions. I know some people who are veterans, but I am leary about speaking to them because I know that many are trying hard to forget. Others would like to talk, but to the right people. Please, if you feel that you want to talk, or answer some questions, write me. Books are always informative, but not enough for me.
Thank you, SPC Angi Bogert (reservist in Civil Affairs, and MP)
