Skycrane

From Dan Stroeing, on Mon, 10 Aug 1998 20:11:17 GMT (in response to: Thanks)

It was hell being under the pounding rotors of the skycrane but the load or mission was alway important when they flew. As a grunt on the ground it sure could make you suffer with pelting rocks and making anything that wasn't tied down fly. It is interesting that six or so of the skycranes are here in Alaska. They are being used for logging purposes. Several have new paint jobs but several are still OD and being used for parts. D. Stroeing 2/327 D company 101st Airborne.
