Designing a Web Site with Java and Java Script

In this project-oriented class we will install a complete web server, including CGI scripts, search tools, and Java applications. All meetings will take place at the Center for Academic Technology (CAT) in Alfieri Hall. Class meetings for our project are:

In addition, there will be 2 hours of virtual group meetings per week, using Netscape Chat software. The exact dates and times will be discussed during the first meeting.
It is necessary for each participant to have a PPP, Slip, or hardwired connection to the Internet and the necessary software to establish a basic connection. All other software can be downloaded by clicking here.
The class is split into the following four groups:
- Web Masters:
- Responsible for setting up and maintaining the Web Server.
- Developers:
- Responsible for installing and maintaining software such as CGI scripts, search tools, and java applications
- Designers:
- Responsible for graphical elements and overall look of each page
- Accountants:
- Responsible for maintaining a log of events, costs; collect all reports and produce final document
