   PREPARATION: 

      1. Refer to your scores/feedback you received from your 2 online quizzes. 
 
     
2. Complete your  4 assigned "Advance Questionsas indicated in your course calendar.  Please note, the fourth listed question is still tentative, There is a possibility that the question will be available ONLY via the bottom of this document. Stay posted.
             (if the link above doesn't work) The specifications for your section's advance questions  are also listed in  your course calendar next to specified test date.

             Don't wait until the last minute to look at these specifications and questions. One of them requires use of the text's CD-Rom.  Allow  yourself enough time to complete them correctly and to ask for any needed clarification.
 
   3. Review assigned chapters & carefully review your notes taken in class.
 

    


   EXAM FORMAT:   as always, you will be expected to use "your own words" 

             re: the advance questions - BRING YOUR COMPLETED, TYPED/PRINTED ANSWERS  TO THE   ADVANCE QUESTIONS  WITH YOU ON EXAM DAY

 THESE QUESTIONS WILL BE WORTH APPROX 18-20 POINTS ON THE EXAM; SO DON'T  FORGET TO BRING THEM! 

 


 
     AREAS-TO-STUDY:  * This exam will focus on the areas/chapters listed here--
                                 some of which were also part of your online quizzes.

  * AS OF NOW, the planned emphasis will be on the information & related notes pertaining to: Chapters  12, 13, 14, 15, 17 &  be able to  demonstrate  Speech Construction Procedures. Also, expect to see some of the basic terms from Chaps 1 & 3 & 16 (e.g. context,  audience-centeredness, indexing generalizations, nonverbal communication , high/low context,  conversational quality, extemporaneous delivery,   etc)

 * Some of the questions will be repeats from online Quizzes #1 & 2
