EXAM FORMAT: (☼)
As always, you will be expected to use "your own
words" in your answers
The
test's questions will include a mixture of Terminology definitions,
Short answer, Essay types and a some Multiple choice questions as well. Be prepared to explain, to
analyze, to compare+contrast, and to demonstrate the
concepts.
AREAS-TO-STUDY: (☼)
This exam will focus on the
areas/chapters listed here--some of which were
also part of your
online quizzes.
As of now, the planned emphasis for this test will be on the information & related notes
pertaining to: Chapters 11, 12,
13, 14 & the ability
to demonstrate Speech Construction
Procedures. Also, you can expect to see
some of the very basic terms/general
concepts from Chaps
1,2,3,4,15 & 16
(e.g. context,
audience-centeredness, dating and indexing via language,
perception checking,oral language style , high/low context, conversational quality,
extemporaneous delivery, speaking to inform,
nonverbal communication
etc)
Some of the questions will be repeats from online Quizzes #1 & 2

Please note, Blackboard sometimes "times you out" when you are working in it for
