GUIDELINES & PRESENTATION SCHEDULE -
M i n i - P R O J E C T R E P O R T S [21slots/18presenters]
CLICK HERE TO GO DIRECTLY TO THE PRESENTATION SCHEDULE
{i.e. "sharing your findings from your various contracted research projects & papers into the dynamics of human communication"}
* Each individual will receive 7-9 minutes to present to the class.
*All presentations should make use of effective Oral Presentation techniques [as you learned in COST1600]. This means you should be focused, prepared & rehearsed, and you will be stopped if you go overtime.
Your presentation can take any one of these 3 approaches:
> Version A{i.e.things you learned}: To discuss the 1-2 most important/striking/significant/useful things you learned via doing your contracted investigative projects this semester. Your discussion of these general INSIGHTS into human communication should be supported with details from the project(s) & by cross referencing with findings discussed in the text. You may even want to revisit something you created earlier in the semester (e.g. your shield )
> Version B {i.e.specific projects}: To discuss 1-2 of your specific projects. I would expect that you would choose to share those which gave you the most INSIGHT and/or personal growth.
>Version C {
i.e.background concepts}: To discuss 1-2 of the background concepts underlying one particular project [ex: Project #1 is built upon Perception & Self-Concept, Project #2 is built upon Systems Theory+Family Communication, etc]. You would also need to comment on how your findings did (or didnt) support what the underlying concept would have led you to expect.
- As of 11/19/08-9:00am - These are the presenation slots: As soon as possible, you should email me with your request for a particular slot along with the which version you plan to present: <plummeev@shu.edu> .
- A SIGNUP SHEET WILL ALSO BE AVAILABLE IN CLASS.
- Whether or not you opt to select a slot,
the finalized PRESENTATION SCHEDULE will be posted no later than 11/18 - in the evening - probably earlier. Please note that presentations begin on 11/19. - ONCE THIS SCHEDULE IS OFFICIALLY FINALIZED/POSTED, I WILL NOT MAKE ANY CHANGES TO IT. - If you need to change your presentation date, you will need to negotiate any switches among yourselves & then let me know )
