I am a founding member of the
Black Caucus of the American Library Association New Jersey Chapter. The Black Caucus of the American Library
Associations or BCALA has been in existence since 1970. It is a national organization which advocates
on the behalf of black people through the vocation of librarianship. It is an organization made up of people from
all ethnic and religious groups.
