Differences Across the State

If we look at the charts a second time, we see that differences among instructors across state often seem more significant than differences between high school and college.  The presence of green or red (disagree) and magenta and blue (agree) in both high school and college columns makes this observation literally visible in the charts below.

Should college students know what they meant to say before writing?
Is the use of “I” inappropriate in students’ papers in college?
Should all papers submitted for evaluation be formal and academic?
Will college instructors guide students towards the correct interpretation of literary works?
Will college students be expected to use the five-paragraph structure?
