[They had a team research American schools on the Internet for 6 weeks. Then they selected 3 schools in our country to visit that they believed represented excellence, esp. in Science, Math & technology, we were one of the 3.] This was particularly exciting as it was our first year having a web site. It gives new meaning and appreciation for the www - world wide web.] |

Beautiful Hatcher's Pass, between Willow and Palmer, Ak. is considered Gold Rush country. In 1896 placer gold was 1st discovered in Willow Creek. Robert Hatcher staked the 1st hard rock claim in 1906. Many rushing mountain streams and creeks are in this area where families & tourists still pan for gold & pick berries for fun. |
