As a former Literacy Coordinator, my experience is primarily in Early Literacy (preK - grade 3) with using a Balanced Literacy curriculum.  However, some materials on this page pertain to gr. 7 - 8, as I was also a middle school Literacy-  Language Arts teacher.

 Here are some Best Practices that I initiated that significantly impacted our parental involvement.  We currently have over 75% parental involvement at our school - for a low-socioeconomic area that is considered well above average.
