Janet James-Shuler has been in the field of education for over 28 years. Soon to earn her Doctor of Education at Seton Hall University she currently serves as Assistant Principal at Jackson Avenue School in Hackensack, NJ. She is proud of her school’s many accomplishments, such as the 2003 NJ Governor’s School of Excellence Award. Concurrently she is also an adjunct professor at Seton Hall University with their masters level Education, Leadership, Management, and Policy (ELMP) department. There she enjoys teaching and preparing future administrators. Mrs. James-Shuler has published articles regarding educational technology and leadership in Educational Viewpoints 2006 for the New Jersey Principal and Supervisor Association (NJPSA). In addition she has won awards as a Web Master for her school’s web site. Janet has teaching experience in grades K-8 and 13-20. Prior to her post in Hackensack Mrs. James-Shuler was a Literacy Coordinator at Washington Academy of Music (preK-8) in East Orange. _________________________________________________________ Favorite Quotes:
