Hi Robert, maybe they are not really unfriendly to me, but to the others and I could feel with them. You know, how many people in Germany are beaten because they look different? Many of them are suffering from fearing by leaving their home on the evening. It is a psychological condition. I am glad that you could see from different sides. I agree with you that some of vietnamese people are not pleasant or what you called racists. But the reason is basing on different cultures, mentality, religion... and not because you look different. My sisters married to English and german guys. They are completely accepted in any environment because all of them appricate their culture, mentality and usual way of life on the both sides. Me and my parents are very happy with this. To be honest, Vietnamese people are not even pleasant to Vietnamese people. Or Chinese do not like Vietnamese.
I think America is an immigration country. So the problem is not as big as the one in Germany (especially the Eastern part).I only can talk about Germany because I live there. A friend of mine (vietnamese girl) has got a german boy-friend. They are together for 7 years. He seemed o.k., but she always had problems with his mother because she doesn´t like foreigners. This german mother always mentioned him to go and get a WHITE girl.
I really do not care about if they are Vietnamese, German, Americans,Chinese or what ever they are; my opion is ,people having prejudices (e.g. rasism, discrimination)they are not able to think widely.
