".....Is another man's treasue."
I see no beauty in war. What I see is beauty in people. Alive or dead we are all beautiful children of our God. I must admit that I am as well against the American involvement in the Vietnam war. But I had little power to stop it. What I want now is to know about it. My Fiancee's family was there from the beginning. Her family escaped from the north about fifty years ago. Living during the war, they didn't know how long they were going to survive. By the time she was 18 South Vietnam was completely Communist. Her father was put in prison. And she la little to do but work and dream of escaping. In 1993, her father was released. The US government gave her family money and assistance to escape persecution. They were transported by plane to San Fransisco where they had to start a new life in a new country. The more I know, the more I want to know. This web page helped me understand the first half of my future wife's life. I will say for myself. The Americans should have stayed home and let Vietnam have it's own war. Our involvement was probably the cause of the failure. But, please, don't turn back time. Look at the past. Learn about the past. Then we can try to improve the future.
The Americans tried to help. SO what if they failed? Everybody makes mistakes. So, even in death, I will always see art in photography.
Thank you though, for your opinion and judgement.
