I am a little behind in viewing this portfolio and commenting on them, but when I read your comments I thought I should send a message. I think the photographer did not mean to show these Vietnamese people as good or bad, or anything. He was showing them as they are, at work, at home, etc. It is good for people across culture to see each other's real life and learn something. The Vietnamese people who were in the photos looked happy when they were pictured, and they therefore look beautiful. I son't see any reasons for being upset about that. I am always proud of the way our people is and there is nothing to be ashamed about with the way we live. That's just hte way it is. And if others think it is wrong, it's there problem. Not ours. Why waste our time being upset. That is my general phylosophy. In this case, I think the photographer had an eye for arts, and he did very good work in capturing the faces and the spirit of the Vietnamese people. We should give him a word of congratulations. Best and good luck.
