Dear Mr. Hoffman,
Was in the "country" in 68' and 69' by way of Red Cross and Peace Corps...I was fortunate to be able to serve in many surgical units and help all of you very tired military folks...although i have stayed in medicine through the years, I also am working on advanced degrees in Psychology and the Fine Arts...I am female and have never married...I still have shuddering visions of the pain and exhaustion I observed in all of you who saw the hard stuff...however, the worse of it is the images of the children...i recall the look of disapointment, confusion, abandonment, and terror seen in the faces of the children as their pupils dilated for a last time, over and over and over...in my opinion, you have a gift to "see" through that camera...i guess i forgot to put those kind of images in front of the bad kind...thanks so much for dishing out a large helping of desert!!!...the pictures are of excellent aesthetic quality...
thanks, Knute
PS I hope you are doing allright.
