What is the big deal?

From mary, on Tue, 24 Oct 2000 04:41:31 GMT (in response to: Would be interested to hear from American men who have married Vietnamese women.)

I don't see the point that it is so interesting for relationshps between americans and vietnamese. I am an American girl, 23 years old, with a vietnamese guy. We have been together for over 2 years and are engaged to be married. There is no difference between us. Why do people think you need facts and surveys to be in an interracial relationship?? Let me tell you this, they are no differences between us. He has a heart just like me. It don't look different or beat in an odd way. I cannot stand the way people look or are so interested in the way we conduct our lives. There are many things to do to teach eachother the differences in life. I have many viet friends and they are just like my american friends. There is no difference between us. Only narrowed minded people need to take a pole or ask people how the relationship will be. Every relationship is unique and special. So, why compare?
